Welcome Otter!

Welcome to our class page, where you can find information about PE days, homework and the learning we will be doing over this half term.

We have an exciting half term planned in Owls !

We have some exciting in learning in English, based around The Little Mermaid. We shall be learning to use adjectives, nouns and verbs in simple sentences. We shall be having fun with our phonics, learning lots of new digraphs in multi sensory ways.

In science we will explore the five senses, going for a sound walk and finding out how our senses work. Music will see us identifying the pulse in music as well as experimenting on pitched instruments to create little compositions.

In Maths will find us having fun with practical equipment exploring place value and shape as well as addition.  Our artistic skills will be furthered when we experiment with colour mixing and are introduced to  artists like David Hockney. Geography will be looking at maps and creating our own. We shall be following a map on a walk with year 2.

In computing we will be learning the basics, such as how to log in to the Purple Mash program and creating avatars. In PE we will be improving our Gymnastics skills and creating sequences of movements which we will practise and perform.

In RE we will be exploring why God is important to Christians and using our 3 characters to help us ask questions.

Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days. Make sure they have warm clothes and suitable shoes in case the lesson is outside.
